We would like to congratulate one of our former nursing program graduates, Dr. Cynthia C. Suire of Youngsville. She will be recognized this week as one of 12 employees selected statewide to receive the Louisiana Civil Service League’s Dunbar Award.

According to the Advocate:
“The awards, named after Charles E. Dunbar, co-author of Louisiana’s first civil service law, are presented to workers in classified systems ‘who have distinguished themselves by service over and above the call of duty.’ The awards will be presented at a luncheon to be held at noon on Thursday at the Doubletree Hotel in New Orleans.”

Dr. Suire is the Program Manager for the Department of Health and Hospitals’ Maternal, Infant, and Early Childhood Home Visiting Program.
