A Message from the Dean
I am deeply honored to have been appointed by Dr. Jaimie Hebert, provost and vice president of Academic Affairs, as the next dean of the College of Nursing and Health Sciences, effective July 1, 2024. This is a pivotal time for our college, and I am excited to lead and work alongside our amazing team of students, faculty, staff, alumni, community partners and friends as we embark on this journey together. The College of Nursing and Health Sciences has a distinguished history of excellence in education, research and innovation. It is my commitment to uphold these values and to foster an environment where innovation, collaboration and inclusivity thrive.
As we look to the future, my vision for the College of Nursing and Health Sciences includes a commitment to academic excellence, program growth and the integration of cutting-edge technology and practices into our undergraduate and graduate degree offerings. With the development of the new Health Sciences Campus, we will be able to expand our program offerings, with a focus on Health Sciences, to better meet the workforce needs of Acadiana, the state and the region. Existing and newly developed partnerships with the health care community will result in collaboration and growth that will directly impact the health of all who we serve.
Thank you for your support and ongoing commitment to the success of our students.
Warmest regards,
Dr. Lisa Broussard
Dean, College of Nursing and Health Sciences
