Dietetic Program Wins Spirit Award

The Dietetic Program was the winner of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND) 2013 Food Conference & Expo School Spirit Contest! They were awarded for having the highest percent of students in attendance across the nation.  Students were invited on stage at the Opening Session with the President of AND, Glenda McCollum, PhD, RD, who graciously waved the Ragin' Cajun sign.  Later during the Conference Dr. Rachel Fournet, RD, LDN accepted the Award of Excellence at a reception hosted by Dr. McCollum. Senior Shelby Hernandez stated “this experience has totally excited me about my career.”  Approximately forty students/interns and all faculty from UL were in attendance.
