UL Student Nurses Association had 13 members represent us at the LASN 62nd Annual Convention in Shreveport, LA this past weekend. I am happy to announce that we had four members run for the LASN board of directors and three were selected.
McKenzie Baumgartner will serve as the new secretary; Lani Thompson will serve as the new Horizons Editor, and Jenna Brewton will serve as the new Region II Director. We also placed FIRST in the 2016 Disaster Preparedness Project. We have been collecting non-perishable food items since the beginning of the semester and were able to collect more than all the other schools present. Each student attended valuable sessions on Friday and Saturday and were able to network with a wide variety of nurses and student nurses. So proud of our ULSNA!
