Dean Melinda Oberleitner and CONAHP Development Officer, Nicole Jones, are very pleased to announce a donation of $500,000 towards the CONAHP Capital Campaign.  The donation was made by Ann Harrell (grandmother) and Melissa Socia (mother) in memory of Jakelynn A. Ammons.  At the time of her untimely death, Jakelynn was a freshman nursing student who was an A student and named to the President’s list.  While at UL Lafayette she was a member of Chi Alpha Christian Fellowship. According to her family, Jakelynn was a beautiful soul, both inside and out.  She was dearly loved and will be fondly remembered by those who knew and loved her. We are extremely grateful and thankful to the Harrell and Socia families for their continued very generous support of the college in Jakelynn’s memory.
