Nursing Education
Nationwide there is a shortage of nursing faculty at a time when the need for more professional nurses is increasing. Graduates of our master’s program with a concentration in Nursing Education are in demand to educate the next generation of nurses. Nursing education students develop competencies in nursing theory, research, and educational teaching principles and strategies, as well master’s levels concepts in pathophysiology, pharmacology, and advanced physical assessment.
Obtaining an MSN with a concentration in nursing education prepares graduates to become nursing faculty or clinical instructors, or to work in staff development settings. Many graduates also choose to continue their education to obtain doctoral degree.
